Using it
Files, previews and export
Preview, edit, export and open the files agents make.
Every file, live
The Files tab lists every file an agent creates or changes, with a live preview. This works in folders without git, and for files git ignores.
Previews
- HTML, Markdown and PDF
- Images
- Word (.docx)
- Excel (.xlsx), with sheet tabs
- CSV
- PowerPoint (.pptx), slide by slide
- Video: .mp4, .webm, .mov
- Audio: .mp3, .wav, .m4a, .ogg, .flac
Edit
Open the Edit tab to change a file, with line numbers. ⌘S saves. If an agent changed the file after you opened it, you're warned before saving. Each save adds a note to the chat, so the next agent knows.
Export
The Export menu converts the file:
- Markdown → Word, PDF, HTML, or Excel (its tables)
- HTML → PDF or Excel
- CSV → Excel
- Excel → CSV or PDF
- Word → PDF or HTML
- PowerPoint → PDF
In the desktop app you choose where to save it. PDFs are tagged for screen readers.
Open in
The Open in menu opens the file in its default app, in Finder or Explorer, or in your code editor: VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Zed, Sublime Text, WebStorm or Xcode, whichever you have installed.
The right kind of file
Agents make charts and comparisons as interactive HTML pages, data as Excel sheets, and documents as Word files. Markdown is for notes.
